While announcing news of her upcoming tour Wednesday morning, Carrie Underwood told fans that she is expecting a second child.
“Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond,” Underwood said.
Isaiah is the couple’s 3-year-old son.
She told fans that her tour for her upcoming album “Cry Pretty,” which will be released Sept. 14, will begin in May 2019.
“You might be wondering or asking, ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?'” Underwood said in the video. The camera zooms out and shows Underwood sitting under a balloon spelling out “baby.”
Underwood hasn’t said when she is due to give birth.
“This has just been a dream come true with album and baby news and all that stuff,” Underwood said to fans. “We’re just so excited and so just glad you guys can share in this with us and be a part of this with us.”
Tickets for Underwood’s tour go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 17.
In a recent interview, Underwood talked about how her age may keep her from having a large family.
“I’m 35, so we may have missed our chance to have a big family,” Underwood said to Redbook. “We always talk about adoption and doing it when our child or children are a little older.”
