SportsPulse: Tony Romo has proven he has a knack for seeing into the future, so Trysta Krick sat down and asked him to predict five outcomes heading into the NFL season.
The mystery of the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 1 starter at QB is over.
Nick Foles will get the nod for the Eagles when the team opens its season Thursday at home against the Atlanta Falcons, coach Doug Pederson announced Monday.
“Nick Foles is the starter and we have complete confidence, obviously, in what he can do,” Pederson told the team’s website. “We’re ready to go with Nick.”
On Sunday, Pederson pushed back against questions about whether Foles or Carson Wentz would start for Philadelphia. But he also said that Wentz still had not been cleared for contact as he works his way back from torn anterior cruciate and lateral collateral ligaments in his left knee.
Foles stepped in for Wentz last season and led the franchise to its first Super Bowl title, earning MVP honors in the game.
